About

John Triggerfish is an award winning scuba diver and comedy novelist from the North of England, and that’s no-where near London. He’s a scuba diving instructor and has been actually known to teach people to dive. He also likes funny fish names, like the awesomely titled ‘skunk clown fish’.

John started his journey as a divemaster in Thailand. It took two years for him to get his PADI qualification, which is probably a record. Upon realising that there were far too many distractions down Bangla Rd., he decided to move to Mexico to pursue the upper echelons of living the PADI dream. He became a scuba instructor after a few months and acquired his first job as a bull shark dive guide and chum feeder. Surprisingly he was the only candidate at the interview.

After a few weeks he decided that keeping his limbs intact was more important than an adrenaline kick and moved back to the UK where he saved up for a 28ft yacht that he then sailed into the Mediterranean with his pet monkey.

Currently he’s working out how to get to Pitcairn in the Pacific.
